Continuing Education

Each year, the Houston Marine & Energy Insurance Conference offers continuing education credits for agents, adjusters, brokers and attorneys in the marine and energy insurance and admiralty law industries. In previous years, we have offered between eight and twelve continuing education credit hours at our Conference.

  • Continuing Education for Insurance Agents, Brokers and Adjusters: 
    • Texas: 12 Accredited CE Hours (11 Hours of General Insurance Principles; 1 Hour of Ethics)
    • Louisiana: 12 Accredited CE Hours (11 Hours of General Insurance Principles; 1 Hour of Ethics)
    • Oklahoma: 12 Accredited CE Hours
    • Florida: 12 Accredited CE Hours (11 Hours of General Insurance Principles; 1 Hour of Ethics)
    • New Jersey: 12 Accredited CE Hours
    • New York: 12.5 Accredited CE Hours
    • Washington: 11 Accredited CE Hours
    • Arkansas: 12 Accredited CE Hours
  • Continuing Legal Education for Attorneys (CLE Hours):
    • Texas – 10.25 Accredited CLE Hours, 1.00 Hour of Ethics
    • Louisiana – 9.33 Accredited CLE Hours, 1.00 Hour of Ethics
    • Alabama – 9.5 Accredited CLE Hours, 0.80 Hour of Ethics
    • Florida – 11.5 Accredited CLE Hours, 1.00 Hour of Ethics (11.5 credits towards certification in Business Litigation or Admiralty/Maritime Law)
    • California: Credits available through reciprocity
    • New York: Credits available through reciprocity with Texas and Louisiana
